I Have Hidden Your Word in My Heart

by Pastor Ken

Psalm 119:11

I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

The palmist’s wisely chose to hide the Word of God in his heart. When you read the daily verse each day, are you doing the same? Are you allowing it to impact to your life? If so, great! If not, I encourage you to do so. Write them down, memorize them and apply them to your daily life. Use them in conversation when you can. Let the Word of God become part of you.

Why? “For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

Why? Because Jesus says, “It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God'” (Matthew 4:4).

Prayer: Father, help me to cherish your life-giving Word in my heart so that I can be victorious in Jesus. In the name of Christ who is the Word I pray, amen.
