Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident.
Strengthening your faith and confidence in God will change your life for the better.
Some Bible-based facts to consider:
Fact #1: God’s love is constant and unchanging, but He will never force Himself on you. (Psalm 136 / Matthew 23:37)
Fact #2: God waits until He is invited to be actively involved in our lives. (Revelation 3:20)
Fact #3: Jesus’ death on the cross was a gift to everyone, but like any other gift, it has to be “unwrapped” and “taken out of the box” before you can realize the benefits and blessings it has to offer. (Hebrews 2:9 / Psalm 34:8)
Fact #4: You have to believe in, accept, and follow Jesus in order to know God. (John 14:6)
Fact #5: Your relationship with God and Jesus isn’t a feeling and can’t be based on feelings or experiences. This relationship is built on convictions, faith, and commitment to stick together no matter what. (Matthew 7:21 / 2 Timothy 2:11-13)
Fact #6: The only way to get to know Jesus and God is through reading and studying the Bible, prayer, worship and praise, sound teaching, serving God and others, and fellowship with other Christians (Romans 1:16-20).
What sorts of things shake my confidence in God? Why? What will I do today to strengthen my confidence in God’s love and leading?
Dear God, Thank You for loving me unconditionally. Thank You for the Bible, for prayer, and for my Christian family. Please increase my faith and my belief. Help me use these things to be confident of who I am because of You. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
