Bible verses about
Suffering

Suffering exists because sin exists. The center of the problem is alienation from God. If sin had not entered into our lives, coming between us and God, we would not know suffering.

Through willful disobedience to God, humanity ruined the perfect world He had created. In the midst of our sufferings, we can see God, who gives us hope and solutions through Christ’s suffering on the cross.

Jesus, who suffered both physically and spiritually, provides forgiveness of sins and answers to our problems. Christ offers peace of mind, comfort in sorrow, and healing of the wounds suffering has caused.
