Work as if working for the Lord Jesus

Colossians 3:23

And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men.

Press forward in Jesus' name; don't live in the past

Brothers, I don’t regard myself as yet having taken hold, but one thing I do: forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Keep my body pure

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Give generously from the wealth God has given me

Luke 6:38; Acts 20:35

“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.” “In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Use my talents for God

Matthew 25:20-21

He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, “Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents in addition to them.” His lord said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”

Love God and love people

Mark 12:29-31

Jesus answered, “The greatest is, ‘Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one: you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. The second is like this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

Walk with God intimately as Enoch did

Genesis 5:24; Hebrews 11:5

Enoch walked with God, and he was not found, for God took him. By faith, Enoch was taken away, so that he wouldn’t see death, and he was not found, because God translated him. For he has had testimony given to him that before his translation he had been well pleasing to God.
