I have one brother. I did not choose him, nor did he choose me.

My mother and father were also not chosen by me or my brother. The same holds true with our relatives: aunts, uncles, cousins, and many others. We’re all in the same family, whether we like it or not.

We can’t choose our relations, but we can choose our friends. We meet people and become friends by choice. Though the paths we choose, such as going to college, or moving to another place, may take separate us, some people remain friends all life long — but doing so requires commitment and effort.

1 John 5:12 tells us that we have a choice with our life eternal.

“He who has the Son has life; He who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

Life is fast and sometimes heartbreaking, yet God calls us to make a choice that will last forever.

Everything changes when we chose to follow Christ.

God has chosen us from the very beginning. It is up to us to accept Him. When we do, our family becomes that of God. Our destiny becomes that of salvation. Glory to God!
