Romans 16:19

Following God’s commandments makes me wise

Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for your commandments are always with me.

Supreme wisdom comes from God

Romans 11:33-36

Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out! “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Or who has first given to him, and it will be repaid to him again?” For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.

God’s law has wisdom built in

Deuteronomy 4:5-6

Behold, I have taught you statutes and ordinances, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that you should do so in the middle of the land where you go in to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who shall hear all these statutes and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.”

Wisdom is of great benefit

Proverbs 3:13-14

Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding. For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold.

The wisest person cannot compare to God

1 Corinthians 3:19-20

For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He has taken the wise in their craftiness.” And again, “The Lord knows the reasoning of the wise, that it is worthless.”

The fear of the Lord leads to wisdom

Isaiah 33:6

There will be stability in your times, abundance of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. The fear of the LORD is your treasure.

Ask God for wisdom and He will give it to you
