To the mentors in my life: thank you!

Thank you, Dwight, for showing me that the cycle of abuse can be broken when you make God first.

Thank you, Chrissy, for being such a shining example of a faithful spouse in sickness and in health.

Thank you, Tiffany, for illustrating how God can change an addict’s life.

Thank you, Carmen, for showing how God works all things to our good when we hand our lives over to Him.

Thank you, Joan, for showing me that there is never a good excuse for not being an active worker for the Lord.

Thank you, Judy, for setting such a great example of what modesty, purity, and right living should look like.

Thank you, Tessie, Shirley, and Gloria, for being models of Christian sisterhood.

Thank you, Albert, for being an inspiration and for finding joy in all circumstances.

Thank you, Granny, for giving me the ultimate gift of loving me like Jesus does, with unconditional and unending love.

Because of each of these dear ones, I know what it looks like to live and love as Jesus calls us all to, and I am better able to do the same.
