“I will sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously!” This song commemorated the supernatural victory with which God blessed the children of Israel when He saved them from Pharaoh’s army intent on their capture and destruction.
God holds all glory and power. He created this earth; nothing on it is stronger than He. Jesus is victorious over sin, death, and the grave. He can give you the victory over anything you desire.
I will sing to the Lord, for He has triumphed gloriously!
Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and said, “I will sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously. He has thrown the horse and his rider into the sea.”
Christ’s death on the cross proves His victory over the law that condemns me and gives me life
You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us. He has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross. Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
I triumph when I thank and praise God
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. Say, “Save us, God of our salvation! Gather us together and deliver us from the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise.” Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting even to everlasting. All the people said, “Amen,” and praised the LORD.
Mercy triumphs over judgment
For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.
God’s salvation is my triumph; He answers my prayers and saves me
We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May the LORD grant all your requests. Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.
Jesus’ sacrifice gives me the victory over sin and death
But when this perishable body will have become imperishable, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
With God on my side, I will triumph over my enemies
The LORD is on my side. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? The LORD is on my side among those who help me. Therefore I will look in triumph at those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the LORD, than to put confidence in man.
Jesus quietly fulfilled prophecy and led justice to victory
He will not strive, nor shout, neither will anyone hear his voice in the streets. He won’t break a bruised reed. He won’t quench a smoking flax, until he leads justice to victory. In his name, the nations will hope.
God will ultimately triumph
The LORD will go out like a mighty man. He will stir up zeal like a man of war. He will raise a war cry. Yes, he will shout aloud. He will triumph over his enemies.
My faith in Jesus leads to my victory
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
