Jesus Is the Mystery

by Sam

Ephesians 1:9-10

Making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him to an administration of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, in him.

Jesus is the mystery of God’s will.

Jesus lived in the glory of heaven, surrounded by throngs of adoring angels. He lived in a place of pure joy and happiness, light and peace.

He left all that to show us the path to righteousness. He risked everything so we could have the chance of eternal life.

Why would He leave everything good and holy to come to a sinful world, be assaulted by temptations and trials, and die a horrible shameful death?

Because Jesus is the mystery of God’s will. And God is Love. He loves you so much that He could not leave you to die.

Jesus loves you. He knows you. He made your features in your mother’s womb. He knows how weak you are. He wants to wash you free of sin, free of guilt. He wants you to know Him, to receive peace and hope. Your life is so precious, Jesus risked all of heaven to save it.

Jesus loves you so much, that He is waiting at your heart’s door, knocking, begging you to let Him in. He wants to take you to heaven, away from pain and sorrow, away from death and darkness.

The mystery of God’s will is Jesus. God is Love. Jesus loves you. Won’t you let Him in today?

Reflection

How does the mystery of God change how I view my life?
