God’s Masterpiece

by Beatrice Jean-Baptiste

Jeremiah 1:5

“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you. I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.”

In our world today, there are 195 countries, approximately 6,500 languages, and nearly 8 billion people. It is estimated that every 4 seconds, a child is born.

Although these numbers seem colossal, the day you were conceived, God knew you intimately and had great plans for your life. No one is alive by happenstance. Every single person is important in the sight of God.

The day you were born, God took special notice of you.

Before you even knew your name, God had a special calling for your life. He chose you to do great things in the world that no one else can do.

God doesn’t see you as everyone else does. People are limited; they can only see with their eyes. The Omniscient God, on the other hand, sees you as His masterpiece. He knows you from the inside out. You are extremely important to Him.

From the smallest ant to the largest elephant, God created everything for a purpose — including you.

The world needs the gifts that God has placed within you because when you live out your God-given purpose, God is glorified.

Reflection

What has God appointed me to do for His glory? How can I glorify God with the gifts He has entrusted to me?

Prayer

Holy God, Before You formed me in the womb, You knew me intimately. Before I was born, You sanctified me and appointed me to do great things for Your glory. I praise You because I am important in Your eyes and my life has a purpose. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
