Those who trust in the LORD are as Mount Zion, which can’t be moved, but remains forever.
When Joseph brought his father, Israel to meet Pharaoh, Israel did not kneel or bow. Why? Because Israel as Jacob had struggled directly with God. He wrestled over his sin, guilt, and doubt with God. Finally, Jacob got the blessing and assurance from God that he needed.
Israel stood tall in the presence of Pharaoh, because he stood in the grace and assurance of God.
David stood tall in front a 20 foot giant. He trusted that God would help him defend His Name.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego stood tall when the whole world bowed low. They trusted God and kept His commands even if God did not save them from death.
God wants you to be confident in Him. He will be your shield and strength. He wants you to be able to stand tall in His promises and care. When in the arms of God, even death loses its sting and victory.
Won’t you trust in God today?
God, help me to trust in You and Your promises. Please be with me today, guide me, protect me, and lead me. I pray in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
