We farmed for many years.

We had several hundred ewes (female sheep) and a greenhouse where I raised bedding plants and unusual houseplants. Additionally, our farm was part of our state’s Agri-tourism program, which is a fancy way of saying people would call to schedule a guided tour, get a “crash-course” in agriculture, and enjoy a few farm experiences.

When giving directions to our place, I’d always end by saying, “You’ll see the big barn close to the road and a field full of sheep. You can’t miss it.”

The same is true when it comes to seeing God’s power and sensing His beauty and imagination when you look at His creation.

You can’t miss it when you see the perfection of ten very tiny toes and fingers on a newborn baby and the way they “just know” Mom. You can’t miss it when you see the ocean rolling in and out from the shore at the beach. You can’t miss it in the brilliant color of zinnias and the heady smell of honeysuckle. You can’t miss it when you see a couple in their eighties still holding hands and smiling because of, and in spite of, all the years of life they have experienced together.

If you open your eyes, you simply cannot miss the world He has established or the fact that you are part of it.
