Bible verses about
Christmas

We celebrate Christmas because Christ alone was God in human flesh, sent from heaven to take away our sins and give us hope for the future. Jesus came to bring us back to God. “We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).

Make Christ the center and the foundation of your life, not just once a year, on Christmas Day, but every day.

Christ is my Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, and Prince of Peace

Isaiah 9:6-7

Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, on David’s throne, and on his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with justice and with righteousness from that time on, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of Hosts will perform this.

God’s glory filled Christ when He lived as a human like me

John 1:14

The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Jesus came to save sinners: that includes me

1 Timothy 1:15-17

The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
