God blessed Abraham with huge numbers of livestock, servants, and material wealth. Yet when asked to give God what he valued most (his son, Isaac), Abraham was willing to do so.

God blessed Job with more wealth than most of us can imagine. Yet when He allowed the devil to take it all and cause Job physical suffering, Job didn’t turn his back on God. He acknowledged his life was God’s to do with as He saw fit.

When Zacchaeus realized that Jesus was offering something worth more than all the money in the world, he gave back the money he had illegally extracted from people… and then some.

The first Christians in the book of Acts reportedly shared everything they had with one another, making sure the needs of their brothers and sisters in Christ were met. They knew what they had belonged first to God, so it was only right that they should share it with other Christians.

God tells us in Malachi 3:10 to test Him — to let Him show us how much He has in His storehouses of wealth to share with us.

God has already given us His most precious “possession” — Jesus. Why would we think He would withhold anything else after that?
