Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness.
On several occasions, I’ve been at a crossroads in my life without a clear direction of where to go next or what to do.
I’ve stood at intersections having multiple paths, each leading to vastly different ends. “Which do I choose?” I wondered. “How do I go forward? Which will benefit me both now and for eternity?”
In each instance, the Word of God was my unfailing guide.
Once, when given the choice of cheating or losing favor with management at a good job in a prestigious firm, God proved to me that obeying Him was the “profitable” choice.
I didn’t know it, but upper management was scrutinizing the situation. In the end, I was promoted and my immediate supervisor demoted in rank, transferred to obscure and menial tasks in the corporate basement before being forced into early retirement.
Paul’s letter to young Timothy points him to every writing found in the Bible as having God as its direct Source, regardless of the writer He chooses to inspire. Divine love, wisdom, and knowledge are infused into every passage.
You, too, have access to infinite counsel by reading and applying Scripture in every “crossroad” situation of your life!
How does it make me feel to know that God has poured His all-knowing and all-powerful providence in the Bible for my ready access?
Gracious God, Thank You that every word of Yours is intended to be meaningful for me, designed to instruct me in the right ways that I crave. In Christ’s dear name I pray, Amen.
