He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.
The rocket failed because one tiny nut was missing. An airplane crashed due to one small defect in the engine.
One tiny mold spore resulted in the discovery of penicillin. And one tiny seed produced a mass of colorful, fragrant petunias.
All great disasters and all great accomplishments are the results of little things. They all start with something small.
The universe God created is under His constant care to keep every little detail working in perfect order.
In the same way, we need to be taking constant care of our lives so we live out every little detail in faith. In doing so, we will be able to experience the truth of today’s verse. We will be given much to be faithful and thankful for.
An appreciation of daily blessings, a wise use of daily opportunities, a diligent use of God-given talents — this is what Jesus calls for. When you develop the habit of living this way, you will be useful anywhere you go and will be doing great things for God.
I want to take a few minutes at the start of each day to ask God’s blessing and put me in a frame of mind to live the day for Him. What are some little things I need help with today?
Dear God, Please help me be faithful in little things so I can glorify You in all I do. Help me to see that nothing and no one is insignificant in Your eyes. In the name of Jesus, Who is ever faithful, I pray, Amen.
