How many of us really understand how cell phone signals work — especially their ability to track our whereabouts?

I can’t be the only one who thinks it’s a bit much when my phone asks me if I enjoyed the restaurant I just left or if I had a pleasant shopping experience at the mall.

And how many of us understand the step-by-step process of a combustion engine — that thing that makes our cars run?

I’m pretty confident in saying most of us aren’t very knowledgeable on either subject. Not beyond the most basic of basics, anyway. Still, despite knowing very little about these things, we have no problem trusting them to work. So why, when it comes to what’s really important — like life-choices — do we have trouble trusting God?

We don’t care how things like engines and cell phones work, as long as they do. But because we can’t physically see God, we often aren’t as willing to trust Him. We, who have no trouble trusting the creation, refuse to trust the Creator.

God gave us His Holy Spirit. God lives in us. We can trust in His power, wisdom, and love for things both big and small.
