Be Blessed and Do Mightily

by Pastor Ken

1 Samuel 26:25

Then Saul said to David, “You are blessed, my son David. You will both do mightily, and will surely prevail.” So David went his way, and Saul returned to his place.

Read today’s verse and insert your name into it:

“You are blessed, my son/daughter [your name]. You will both do mightily, and will surely prevail.”

It becomes more real and personal when you put yourself into it, doesn’t it?

Your thoughts have great power over your actions.

You are what you think. If you keep the words of God visibly present and prominent in your life, you will know God’s will for your life and will enjoy the pleasures of His blessings. When you read God’s Word, believe it, remember it, and live it, you are living the promises of God.

When you memorize this verse, and other verses that proclaim God’s blessing to His children, when you personalize and repeat it throughout the day, its truth will be yours to enjoy.

Then, like David, as you “go your way,” you can do so with the confidence that God is leading and blessing you every step of the way.

Recognize and accept God’s blessings as your own. Claim them for yourself. Be blessed! Do mightily! Praise God!

Reflection

What is my favorite Bible verse? How can I personalize it and claim it for myself?
