Finally Free

Romans 8:1-2
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.
It can be easy to let your feelings control you.
They’re so close to you, and they impact the way you see the world. But feelings aren’t always an accurate reflection of the truth. Feelings can lie to you.
Our feelings can be one of the most powerful tools the devil uses against us.
By making us feel shameful, fearful, guilty, and worse, he tries to get us to doubt God’s love. When that happens, the most powerful weapon against him is God’s Word. We can use the Bible not only to silence the devil’s lies, but also to remind ourselves of God’s Truth.
Romans 8:1-2 reminds us that we don’t have to be afraid because by believing in Jesus and walking in His Spirit, we are not condemned. We’ve been set free from sin and death and adopted into God’s family. Because of Jesus, we can be called children of God!
Hallelujah! What amazing news! Jesus has not only delivered us from sin and death, but also from fear, shame, and guilt.
The next time the devil tempts you to doubt God’s love, think of this verse, remember Jesus’ sacrifice, and be confident in God’s saving power. In Jesus, you are forever free.

When have my feelings tempted me to doubt God? What Bible verses can I use to combat those feelings?
Prayer
Dear God, Please help me to trust Your Word and not my feelings. Help me remember that You gained victory over sin, death, and fear through the cross, and help me trust in Your saving Love. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
