I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
Imagine being crippled from a young age, unable to fully enjoy your childhood, unable to go play outside with your siblings, confined to braces on your legs but believing that one day, you would be able to walk, skip, run, and jump just like other kids.
And now imagine being twelve years old and finally removing those braces and walking, to everyone’s amazement!
This same girl would grow up to be an Olympic track and field athlete, celebrated as the fastest woman in the world at that time. Wilma Rudolph went on to win three gold medals in the 1960 Olympic Games.
Friend, nothing is impossible with God.
There is no obstacle that is greater than God. Wilma Rudolph had to overcome great obstacles, but she never lost hope. Her parents always encouraged her to believe that with God, all things are possible. It was that belief that gave her faith wings to soar.
Many times in life, we find ourselves confined to our circumstances and feeling powerless and stressed out.
The Word of God is clear. Our strength is in Christ. His strength empowers us to do all things: big, small, easy, and hard. Our relationship with Christ empowers us to do great things for His glory because the more we rely on His strength, the more we accomplish.
How can I overcome life’s setbacks and take advantage of Christ’s ability to strengthen me?
Dear God, I praise You because You strengthen me to do great things through the power of Jesus at work in my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
