Wisdom is a strength to the wise man more than ten rulers who are in a city.
As you read some of my favorite thoughts on wisdom, remember this: God is the Creator and Supplier of intelligence. It can only come from Him.
A wise man can see more from the bottom of a well than a fool can from a mountain top. — Author Unknown
Knowledge comes from learning. Wisdom comes from living. — Anthony Douglas Williams
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy (James 3:17).
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever (Psalm 111:10).
Through wisdom a house is built; by understanding it is established; by knowledge the rooms are filled with all rare and beautiful treasure. A wise man has great power; and a knowledgeable man increases strength; for by wise guidance you wage your war; and victory is in many advisors. Wisdom is too high for a fool. He doesn’t open his mouth in the gate (Proverbs 24:3-7).
Do you see the pattern here?
Fear God, get wisdom and become knowledgeable, and you will live well.
How different would my life be if I spent more time seeking wisdom instead of knowledge?
Wise and wonderful God, Humble my heart and mind so that I will fear You and become wise in Your Word and Your ways. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
