Recently, my children have become interested in superheroes.

Honestly, I’m not a big fan of superheroes but I know some things about the genre. For starters, every superhero has a superpower, a special ability that makes him or her stand out from their peers.

As Christians, wisdom should be our superpower.

We live in a world bombarded by information. Everywhere we turn, we’re confronted with more information than we can process. Gone are the days when households boasted of their encyclopedia collection. All of that information can be accessed by going to a simple search engine.

As Christians, the Bible is our ultimate search engine. It repeatedly tells us wisdom is our weapon against all the folly the world has to offer us. Wisdom protects and safeguards us because with all the influx of information has come a decline in godly wisdom. People have more information than they need, but very few have the wisdom required to live meaningful lives. As believers, God has blessed us with wisdom, which helps us to maneuver through life.

So, if life seems to be getting the best of you, remember that God has given you a special superpower: wisdom. All you have to do to access it is to turn your attention to the One who gave it to you.
