The centurion answered, “Lord, I’m not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.” Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way. Let it be done for you as you have believed.” His servant was healed in that hour.
God wants to do amazing things in your life, too. He even longs to do these things. And when you have faith like the centurion, He will do just that!
When George was being held prisoner by the Japanese during WWII he had faith that God would allow him to return home to be a father to the baby boy that was born four months after he left home to serve his country. And he did.
Each day Carrie and Ethan don’t receive word they can travel overseas to finalize the adoption of their daughter, they have to have faith that the day will eventually come. And they do.
Everyone who has accepted Christ as Savior has been called to live each day with the faith of the centurion—faith that believes without seeing that God is ready to answer the prayers of those who believe and faith that the hope of heaven is real.
Pray: Father in heaven, help me grow in faith. Help me believe without seeing that you will do all you say you will and that you will bless my faithfulness. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.
