May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
“Sanctify” means “set apart” to represent Jesus to the world.
In today’s verse, the Apostle Paul clearly explains that God is the only One who can sanctify you and that He wants to do so — if you will let Him.
God sent His Son, Whom He dearly loved, to bear your sin and take the punishment that should have been yours. Jesus’ sacrifice is more than enough to cover any sin you may have ever committed. All you have to do is repent of that sin — the thing that would have kept you from God forever — and accept Jesus’ gift of salvation and grace.
God longs to make you pure and holy through the blood of Jesus. So, when Jesus comes back, you will be able to stand before God and hear Him say, “Welcome home.”
When Moses led the Israelites across the Red Sea, he told them.
Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. The Lord Himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.
Exodus 14:13-14, NLT
So, take time to look for Jesus at the start of each day. See Him and put your trust in Him. The Lord Himself will fight for you. Let Him, so you can enjoy the victory!
What changes do I need to make so I can be confident that I have been sanctified — set apart — for all eternity?
All-powerful God, You are my Peace and my Protection. Thank You for Your endless love. I pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
