Too Many to Count

by Darla Noble

Psalm 126:2

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.”

The disciple John tells us there isn’t enough room in the world to hold the books that could have been written describing all of the miracles Jesus did on earth (John 21:24-25).

The same is true when it comes to recording all the blessings God has given us.

If I were to list all the blessings God has given me… well, I couldn’t. There are simply too many to count. And quite honestly, I’m sure that I’ve forgotten many of them.

But just because I could never remember them all doesn’t mean I cannot and should not spend time each day recounting my blessings and thanking God for each of them.

Recounting the blessings of each day with a thankful heart is a joyous challenge! What senses do you have that you would miss if they were absent? What people, places, and things bless your life? What God-given insights and emotions brighten your attitude?

Today, and every day, take time to let God know how grateful you are for His many gifts. Then, share your joy with others, so they, too, can enjoy the blessings God has for them.

Reflection

What do I consider to be my greatest blessings? With whom will I share this good news?

Prayer

Thank You, Lord, for all You do for me. There are no numbers high enough to count Your many blessings in my life. I praise You for the great things You have done! In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
