The LORD will open to you his good treasure in the sky, to give the rain of your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You will lend to many nations, and you will not borrow.
When I was staring at the checkbook knowing there wasn’t enough to cover the bills, I said, “It’s just You and me, God, and I really need You to work this out.” He did.
When I needed to get the yard work done, I said, “It’s just You and me, God, so would You make sure the lawnmower starts without any problems?” He did.
When I cried out to God; asking for a sign that I was making the right decision, I said, “God, You’re the only one who can tell me whether this is right or not.” He did.
When I stood up to do my grandmother’s funeral service, and then five years later, my father’s funeral service, I took a deep breath and said, “It’s just You and me, God. I need your strength to help me say what I want to say without ‘losing it.’” He did.
When we ask Him to, God gives us what we need, when we need it. Always. He never leaves us hanging. He never disappoints.
He is faithful. Always.
On who or what do I depend? How will my life change if I quit depending on other people and things and depend solely on God?
Thank You, God. You are amazing, wonderful, and trustworthy. I could not ever want or need more than You are able to provide. Please continue to open to me your “good treasure” and bless my work. I am forever grateful. In Your Son’s name I pray, Amen.
