Everything Is God’s Grace

by Pastor Ken

James 4:6

But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

God gives grace to the humble.

The proud thinks himself to be above others. Thus, in his heart, he says, “I don’t need God because I can deal with things on my own.”

But humility recognizes our shortcomings and our need for the Savior and God. It also recognizes strengths, not to be arrogant, but as something from God in order to glorify Him.

Think about your life.

It is by God’s grace you became who you are now. It was by His grace that you believed in Jesus. Each day, because of His abundant grace, you live your daily life.

Sit quietly for a moment and write down all the grace from God you have received in your lifetime up to now. You may use the journal in this app.

Start with your birth. Yes, by the grace of God you were born. By His grace, you found Jesus. By His grace, you love to read the Bible.

By His grace, you love God and love others. By His grace, you want to glorify God in all you do.

By His grace, you want to be faithful in whatever you do because God has given you all the good things in your life.

When you do not see a bright future, or do not know what to do, take out the list of grace and read.

It can help you to see God graciously leading.

Reflection

What grace have I received from God in my life?

Prayer

Gracious God, Thank You for Your ever-abundant grace. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
