So many of us have had times when we weren’t sure how much longer we could hold on.

I remember one night, worries were running through my head, when suddenly peace washed over me. It felt like God had wiped away all my fears and was telling me everything was going to be ok.

I know that each person’s experience is different, but I believe that God places a million little things in front of us each day like seeds in the gardens of our lives. At the right time, they will sprout and bloom, reminding us that He is in control and He’s taking care of us.

I think during those times, when it’s hard to believe in His love for us, that we need to remind ourselves of the many things He’s done and is still doing for us. It could be the beautiful sunset He made. Or our friends and family. Or maybe the person who said or did the right thing at the right time. Most importantly, God has given us His Word, which is full of His loving promises.

The next time you start feeling overwhelmed or afraid, open the Bible and read this verse. Or read a Psalm. Spend time reflecting on your favorite Bible story or verse. Remind yourself of God’s awesome promises and know that He will never let you down.
