If That Isn’t Love

by Darla Noble

Mark 10:45

For the Son of Man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

The title for today’s devotion is also the title to an old song that perfectly describes what Jesus did for us and why. Let the words of this song sink into your heart and mind; causing you to more fully understand and appreciate the extent of what has been done for you.

He left the splendor of heaven;
Knowing His destiny was the lonely hill of Golgotha.
There He laid down His life for me.
If that isn’t love, the ocean is dry.
There are no stars in the sky, and the sparrow can’t fly.
If that isn’t love, then heaven is a myth.
There’s not feeling like this, if that isn’t love.

Pray: Jesus, Your love is amazing and I am so underserving. But thank You for giving it to me abundantly. My prayer today is that I will live this day and every day to show You just how thankful I am. In Your name, I pray, Amen.
