One day, Kyle was in the grocery store with his grandpa.

As Grandpa looked over the grapes, he took one and ate it, testing to see if they were sweet or not.

Kyle couldn’t believe it! His grandpa just stole something!

Over the next few days, Kyle barely spoke to his grandpa. When his mom asked what was wrong, he shrugged and said nothing. But later that night, he told his mom what had happened. “Grandpa always tells me we should always do what Jesus wants us to do, but he didn’t.”

Immediately, Mom, Grandpa, and Kyle sat down and talked.

Grandpa apologized for his actions and said, “I guess I didn’t think it was wrong because I knew I was going to buy some grapes. I just wanted to make sure I bought the right ones.”

In an effort to make sure his grandson would trust him again, Grandpa returned to the store the next day and apologized to the store manager.

The manager was so shocked and pleased, that he gave Grandpa and Kyle some more grapes, and let Kyle pick out some pretty flowers to take home to his grandma.

As Christians, we need to make sure that what we look like on the outside shows who we are on the inside. If we don’t, the people who look at us won’t see the real Jesus.
