Take courage! Try Christ’s winning strategy. Jesus hid God’s Word in His heart and used it to make the tempter flee from Him.

Galatians 6:1-2

Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Jesus warns that harboring evil desires may cause temptation

Mark 7:20-23

He said, “That which proceeds out of the man, that defiles the man. For from within, out of the hearts of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, sexual sins, murders, thefts, covetings, wickedness, deceit, lustful desires, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, and foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.”
