For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you. He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat. He sends out his commandment to the earth. His word runs very swiftly.
God has released a contagion into our communities. It is a deeply penetrating, quickly moving virus that affects resources and infects our generations.
Fortunately, God’s contagion spreads wellness, not sickness. It promotes life not death. It strengthens our defenses rather than destroying them. It is an all-encompassing wellness of every aspect of being and possession. It first saturates within, then permeates without, before swiftly spreading about.
I can stubbornly resist.
I can inoculate myself from its goal of goodness. But if I do not, I am amazed to realize how effortlessly an influence of well-being can take hold, not only of me, but then through me, touching anything and everyone I connect to with the potential for well-being as well.
We have been informed that the portals of entry for destructive viruses are the eyes, mouth, and nose through contact with the hands.
Likewise, as a portal to spread blessings, I must watch these points of engagement: my eyes, my lips, my nose, and my hands. What do I focus on seeing? What do I speak of when talking? Do I pass the “sniff” test that identifies me as who I profess to be? What do my hands find to do that benefits others?
How can I be more contagious in spreading God’s blessings far and wide?
Holy God, Thank You for Your multiple acts of kindness for my benefit. I feel safe as Your matchless blessings surround me and engulf me. May I pass them on to others as well. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
