Blessings From Flowers

Deuteronomy 7:13
He will love you, bless you, multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your livestock and the young of your flock, in the land which he swore to your fathers to give you.
Bees delight in flowers.
It’s a universal truth: their love of flowers literally makes them who they are.
Flowers provide the substance on which bees’ lives are built. Their hive itself is a product of flowers.
Beeswax is produced when the honey in a bee’s stomach oozes out through their pores into flakes. The bees chew those flakes and shape them into the honeycomb of the hive.
Propolis, or bee glue, the coating which protects the outside of the hive, is made from the nectar of tree buds mixed with beeswax and bee saliva.
The protein that feeds the baby bees is made from pollen, which comes from flowers.
And the honey that bees are renowned for making comes from the nectar of flowers. It’s processed in bees’ stomachs and regurgitated into the honeycomb. Honey feeds the bees through the chilly winter months when flowers are few.
Their home, their daily work, their food supply all exist because of those beautiful blossoms. The blessings of delighting in flowers belong to bees.
Psalm 37:4 says, “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.” Like the blossom that sustains the bee, God’s blessings cover our lives when we delight ourselves in Him.

What are some different ways I can delight myself in God each day? In what parts of my life do I specifically see God’s blessing?
Prayer
Dear God, You are amazing. The universe, the earth, the animals, the plants are a delight to me. They reflect how creative, how powerful You are. Thank You for creating me to be a part of it all. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
