The Benefits of Loving God

God is a benevolent, loving, and merciful Parent. In His mercy, He has called us His children. Being a child of God has its perks. The writers of the Bible joyfully sang God’s praises for the wonderful gifts He gives.
God's love provides faithful protection
Lamentations 3:21-23
This I recall to my mind; therefore have I hope. It is because of The LORD’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his mercies don’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.
God delivers those who love Him
Psalm 91:14
Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
God's love turns curses into blessings
Deuteronomy 23:5
Nevertheless the LORD your God wouldn’t listen to Balaam, but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing to you, because the LORD your God loved you.
God rewards His children who love the unlovely
Luke 6:35
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.
I am alive and honored
Ephesians 2:4-6
But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ — by grace you have been saved — and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
God preserves me
Psalm 145:20
The LORD preserves all those who love him, but he will destroy all the wicked.
