Have you looked in the mirror today?

Take a good, long look at yourself. You’re special. There is no one else on Earth quite like you. There may be people who are similar, but no one is exactly like you because you are a one-of-a-kind creation.

As Dr. Seuss, the acclaimed children’s author, put it, “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.”

When God created you, He made you unique. He created you to add something to the world in a way that no one else can. Your very existence is a calling.

If you stop and look at nature, you’ll see trees swaying in the wind, the pitter-patter of rain falling down, the beauty of a moonlit night, or the twinkling of stars outspread in the night sky. These wonders of nature all point to the handiwork of God. You are no exception.

You were created in God’s image to add beauty to the world because within you lies the power to create. With the Psalmist, consider the heavens and consider your place in God’s plan. All around you is endless inspiration. Pause to pray, and ask God to flood your heart with revelation as you seek to mirror Him.
