Bible verses about
Comfort

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

These words of Jesus from His “Sermon on the Mount,” as recorded in Matthew 5, remind us that God Himself takes our sorrows very seriously. He knows that since we live in a sin-soaked world, there will be many times during our lives when we need comforting. He not only commits to comforting His people (Isaiah 40:1), but He also promises to gift us with a peace that lasts for eternity.
