Each time you help someone feel special and valuable, every time you give a complement, you leave an unforgettable mark. That person may never forget your comment. It can become part of one’s soul.

There was a boy in Charlotte, North Carolina. He, like other boys, got into some troubles. His parents worried about Him.

One day, an old lady put her hand on his shoulders and said, “You are brilliant, and you speak so well. If you become a preacher, you could have a good influence on many people.” This old lady’s sincere whispering of hope never left the boy’s brain.

The boy — Billy Graham — eventually studied the Bible and became a great worldwide evangelist. He had revival meetings, and spoke on radio and television for over 40 years. That one lady left a trail of Jesus’ joy to the boy Billy. And Billy left a trail of Jesus’ joy to 215 million people in live audiences in over 185 countries.

Today, you can do the same as that old lady did. Never lose an opportunity to let people know that Jesus’ joy is for everyone.
