Throughout the Bible we are told to give glory to God.

Giving Him glory means adoring Him, trusting Him, obeying Him, honoring Him and giving Him praise.

There are many ways we can give God glory, including the way we conduct ourselves, how we treat others, and how we relate to Him.

One way that we give God glory is through worship. Revelation 14:7 instructs us to “give him glory… worship him.” When we worship God, in the private of our own home or in the public eye, we are giving Him glory.

This is played out in the lives of people like Job, Daniel, Elijah, and many other Bible heroes. In various circumstances — joy, difficulties, sadness, peace, persecution — God was and is worshiped by His people.

Our worship is founded on who God is, not on our circumstances. Others looking on see that no matter what our situation we still give glory to God by continuing to worship and honor Him. He is the Creator God and for that He is worthy of worship.

Revelation 14 specifically talks about the issue of who will be worshiped. It is a call to stand firm in our adoration of God, giving Him all the glory, and thus being an example of true worship.
