The Oxford English dictionary describes grace as:

1. simple elegance or refinement of movement,
2. courteous goodwill, and
3. do honor or credit to (someone or something) by one’s presence.

But in Greek, grace means “a gift or favor bestowed upon someone or something.”

However, the power contained in God’s grace is indescribable, indefinable.

God’s grace is, perhaps, the most powerful force known to humanity. It pardoned our sins on the cross. His grace saves us and His grace sustains us. His grace carries us through the darkest valleys and is with us on top of the highest mountains of our lives.

His grace breaks the chains that sin has locked around our lives. It takes the dirtiest of hearts and makes them clean, takes the most broken of people and makes them whole.

Through God’s grace, we are healed, and through Him, we are saved.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

It’s not because of what we’ve done, or because of how great we are that we’re saved; it’s because of God’s grace. It has all the power you need.
