All the Wisdom in the World

Proverbs 2:3-6
Yes, if you call out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding; if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures: then you will understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.
King Solomon is said to have been the wisest man in history.
Rulers from all over the world came to see his great wisdom, wealth, and power. He is credited with writing many of the Proverbs, as well as the book of Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon.
But for all his wealth and wisdom, he acknowledges that knowing God is most important. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding” (Proverbs 9:10 WEB).
I would argue that knowledge and seeking God come hand in hand. If we seek to know God and have a relationship with Him, His blessings, such as knowledge and wisdom, will follow.
“For the LORD gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding,” today’s verse promises.
When we seriously seek God and determine in our hearts to follow Him no matter what, God honors that. “I love those who love me. Those who seek me diligently will find me” (Proverbs 8:17 WEB).
“But seek first God’s kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you,” Jesus promises (Matthew 6:33 WEB).
Let us determine in our hearts to seek out a relationship with God today!

What are some ways I can seek to have a relationship with God today? What areas of my life could benefit from more divine wisdom, discernment, and understanding?
Prayer
Dear God, Please help me to seek You first in everything I do. Bless me with greater wisdom and understanding. Guide my steps, and above all else help me always seek to have a strong relationship with You. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
