Bible verses about
Hope

God is a God of hope (Romans 15:13). And God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, is our hope (1 Timothy 1:1).

When life doesn’t go the way we think it should, hope encourages us to press on. When friends and family let us down, hope lifts our spirits. When discouragement and disappointment threaten to crush us, heavenly hope pulls us from the wreckage of broken dreams and inspires us to keep trying.

My hope will be rewarded

Proverbs 24:14

So you shall know wisdom to be to your soul. If you have found it, then there will be a reward: Your hope will not be cut off.

My hope is sure

Hebrews 6:19

This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and steadfast and entering into that which is within the veil.

My hope is based on Jesus’ grace

1 Peter 1:12-13

To them it was revealed, that they served not themselves, but you, in these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into. Therefore prepare your minds for action. Be sober, and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Hope in God is good for humanity

Jeremiah 17:7; Lamentations 3:26

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose confidence is in the LORD. It is good that a man should hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

My hope is my testimony

1 Peter 3:15

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to give an answer to everyone who asks you a reason concerning the hope that is in you, with humility and fear.

My hope is the basis of my faith

Hebrews 11:1-3

Now faith is assurance of things hoped for, proof of things not seen. For by this, the elders obtained testimony. By faith, we understand that the universe has been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen has not been made out of things which are visible.

Jesus Christ is my blessed hope

Titus 2:13-14

Looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.

God intentionally gives me hope

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the LORD, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.”

My hope is alive in Jesus

1 Peter 1:3-4

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that doesn’t fade away, reserved in Heaven for you.

My hope does not waver
