It is 4:00 a.m. I am standing beside my grandson’s bed.

He is 17 days old. For the past 20 minutes, his grandmother has fed him and held him close to her. Now he is wrapped in his blanket and lying safely in his bed. Quiet, gentle music plays over him.

Both my wife and I are taking care of our grandson to help his parents get some sleep.

When I look at the baby breathing with his whole body, I marvel at how cute and precious he is. I am full of love for him, especially when he smiles at me. He moves his tiny hands while he dreams and sometimes sleeps with his arms up.

I feel great when I realize that our grandbaby’s angel reports to God that we are caring for His gift to our family (Matthew 18:10).

Just as we love the baby and care for him, Jesus is caring for you. He does everything for your salvation and well-being. Jesus looks at you as the most precious child of God in the universe.

Let Jesus come into your heart and care for you so that you can live the best life designed for you: a joyful, abundant, blessed life.
