Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Nutritional yeast doesn’t have much of a reputation in popular culture.
In fact, usually the term evokes the same face as Brussels sprouts from people who aren’t familiar with it. But as foreign as it sounds, it is one of the most vitamin and mineral-packed foods available.
Nutritional yeast is grown on molasses, harvested, and then dried. The end result is a complete protein. It has all 18 amino acids and is naturally bursting with dietary fiber, zinc, magnesium, copper, iron, phosphorus, selenium and chromium.
Just a sprinkle of it boosts the body’s ability to reduce aging, promote heart health, kickstart energy, and ward off disease. But perhaps the best quality of nutritional yeast is that it’s nice on the palate. It tastes like one of the world’s most popular foods — cheese!
Psalm 34:8 says “Taste and see that the Lord is good.”
Like nutrient-packed yeast, Jesus is our spiritual super food.
Sprinkling His words and desires on our daily lives can only make our spirits healthier, our lives fuller, our God-perspective more clear, our peace more solid, our wisdom more sure. Jesus can lessen our stress and anxiety as we trust our burdens to His care. He can energize us with purposeful living that blesses us as we serve.
What is the “tastiest” part of knowing Jesus for me? How do I use my “spiritual fruit” to nourish others?
Precious Lord, What a good God you are! Thank You for bringing Your word into my life. Please energize me with Your Spirit so I can wholeheartedly glorify You. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
