I enjoy heartwarming friendships. Those God-sent friends are a significant source of love, joy, healing, and encouragement.
Jesus, my closest friend, shows me how to keep my friendships: how to love with compassion, kindness, gentleness, humility, and patience.
I want to love my friends always
A friend loves at all times; and a brother is born for adversity.
Jesus defines friendship
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
My happiness at being with friends shows on my face
Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend’s countenance.
I share my friends’ pain and joy
Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.
I want to have great friendship, like David and Jonathan
When he had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul. Jonathan caused David to swear again, for the love that he had to him; for he loved him as he loved his own soul.
I am Jesus’ friend, for I do what He commanded me
You are my friends, if you do whatever I command you.
I want to have friends who stick closer than my brothers
A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
I encourage and uplift my friends
Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.
I do not forsake my friends
Don’t forsake your friend and your father’s friend. Don’t go to your brother’s house in the day of your disaster. A neighbor who is near is better than a distant brother.
Evil friends corrupt good morals
Don’t be deceived! “Evil companionships corrupt good morals.”
Good advice from my friend brings me joy
Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart; so does earnest counsel from a man’s friend.
I enjoy the benefits of friendship: lifting up each other
Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.
I sincerely pray for my friends
The LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. The LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
I show kindness to my friends
To him who is ready to faint, kindness should be shown from his friend; even to him who forsakes the fear of the Almighty.
