Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.
Think back to the day you passed your driver’s test. Prior to taking the test you studied the manual and practiced driving to the best of your ability so that you could hear the words, “You pass.” But then what? Did passing the test give you the right to drive however you wanted to; ignoring all the rules of the road you’d worked so hard to learn? Of course not! You know that with the privilege of driving comes the responsibility of obeying the rules for driving.
Just about everything we do comes with a certain degree of responsibility—and that includes our relationship with the LORD. In order to receive the privileges of being God’s child, you accept the responsibility of choosing faith over fear; believing what God says about you–He loves you, His plan for you is for success, victory and abundant blessings, peace, love, comfort, protection, security, satisfaction, and eternal life with Him.
Speaking for myself, I can easily say I’m getting far more than I deserve or am capable of giving back. That’s why I strive to live each day reflecting my gratitude for the privileges God has granted me. Will you?
Pray: Father in Heaven, You are too good to me. I don’t deserve Your love and attention, but I am thankful for it. I pray now that I will never forget to show You and tell You just how thankful I am. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
