Who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.
1 Peter 2:24
In this verse, Peter describes Jesus as the One who bore the pain and sorrow of your sins and mine. He did it out of compassion for you and as your Redeemer.
Because of His perfect salvation, you stand firm. Willingly and aggressively, reject the temptation to sin. Boldly discard bad habits. Resist the temptations of the Devil.
Remember Jesus paid the price for your sins. He put the shame and blame of your sins on His shoulders and carried them to the cross where He died for you.
Will you accept this perfect and wonderful salvation?
Father, help me to be close to Jesus every moment of my life so that I can live the life You planned for me: experiencing and enjoying Jesus’ perfect salvation now and always. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
