To Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel.
Do you have the blood of sprinkling?
I don’t mean “do you have an academic knowledge of it?” or “are you aware of ancient ceremonies?”, but have you come to the blood of Jesus? Do you know that the blood of Jesus gives a life of all vital godliness?
By the grace of God, the Holy Spirit led you to know Jesus. You came to the blood of sprinkling without any merits of your own. Make sure to claim the power that Jesus’ blood affords when you feel guilty, lost, and helpless.
Why? The blood of Jesus alone is your everlasting hope. Let’s go to the cross of Christ. Can you hear the sound of the blood of Jesus, shed for you? The dropping of His blood is the music of Heaven to our earthly ears.
You are sinful, but the Savior bids you lift your eyes to Him. Look, each drop of blood cries, “It is finished; I have made an end of sin; I have brought in everlasting righteousness” (John 19:30; Daniel 9:24).
Oh! What precious blood of Jesus! As Christians, we don’t just come to the blood once; we return to it again and again, constantly (Hebrew 12:2). Feel your need for coming to it every day. Every time you return, you have His joy and privilege that there is still a fountain opened for you.
Father, Help me to come to Christ now so I can have real joy and comfort.
I accept His blood to cover my sins and sinful life. Help me to live in the new life bought by Christ’s blood. In the Name of Jesus Who streamed precious blood for me on the cross, I pray, Amen.
