Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things.
Did you know your thoughts are powerful and have the ability to restructure your brain?
In the past, scientists believed that our brains were static until they stumbled upon neuroplasticity. Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to change and adapt throughout the course of our lives.
Every single thought produces a chemical change in your brain. That chemical change can have a lasting impact on your brain’s structure. Negative thoughts may increase your chances of contracting mental illnesses, while positive thoughts improve your brain health and allow the brain to perform at an optimal level.
What’s new to science isn’t new to the One who created your brain. God has a positive thinking plan just for you. In the Bible, we are encouraged to think truthful, honorable, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy thoughts. By doing so, we enjoy the abundant life Jesus promises to give us in John 10:10.
Abundant living begins with victorious thinking. Whenever a negative thought comes to mind, stop it in its tracks with a Bible promise and a song of praise.
Choose to renew your mind today and experience wholeness and healing from the One who created you in His image.
When negative thoughts come my way, help me reject them and look to You and Your promises.
I know that Your special plan for my life begins with my thoughts.
Renew my mind today so I can reflect Your truth and live an abundant life of faith.
In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
