Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit.
I remembered that I had made a mistake when I had first started working at the cafeteria. The head chef comforted me, told me everyone makes mistakes, and just to remember next time. Also the assistant chef was one of the most amicable persons to work and talk with in the kitchen.
This incident reminded me how important it is to watch what we say and how we say it. Also to be careful who we spend our time with. When I am around my friends who are optimistic and positive, I tend to become more optimistic and positive.
God wants us to give words of life to others, not those of death. The next time you feel like criticizing others, ask God to give you words of life, faith-filled words. Speak out of your own mouth what God says about you and others, uplifting encouraging words of life.
Pray: Father, help me each day to say with Your words of grace and love. Encourage me to bless my life and lives of people around me each day. In the name of Jesus who blesses me always, I pray, Amen.
