Haven’t I commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
Do you remember the Disney musical version of “The Three Little Pigs”? If you know the story (which I’m sure you do), you know that the first two pigs had plenty to be afraid of because they were ill-prepared for the wolf’s ‘visit.‘ Only the third little pig could sing the song with confidence because he was the only one who had no reason to be afraid.
Sadly, far too many people have a false sense of courage and security these days because they are taking courage in their own abilities, their money, their ‘stuff,’ and other people. Then when those things fail (and they always do), the people become afraid and even angry.
When you put your full faith in God, you don’t ever have to worry about running out of courage. God will always be there; supplying it in abundance. His words to Joshua are His words to us, too. He will never leave us. So be strong and courageous in the LORD.
Give me courage.
Let me feel Your presence every minute of every day.
In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
